« Sometimes, when I fall in love with a piece of music, I listen to it for hours. I listen to it, and listen to it again, over and over. As if I were trying not to wear it out completely and become sick of it, as my friends and family have often predicted, but rather to absorb its very essence. To grasp its core. To savor every detail. And to prolong the pleasure, again and again. But even though I'm one of those people who love to fall in love, this phenomenon of musical love at first sight doesn't happen all that often. Yet, it so happens that, with each of heklAa's albums, this wonderfully strange phenomenon has occurred for me every single time.
In each of these albums, notes have come straight to my soul. Discreetly and simply. Without any fanfare. Placed there, in their simplest and most beautiful form, born from the creativity of a single musician, they evoked in me that indescribable feeling of being confronted with something undeniable. The undeniable beauty perfectly attuned to a sensitivity that touches me immediately.
And, because of what these notes have produced in me, I can only recommend that you listen to all of heklAa's works; the recently released volume 2 of "Pieces Of You" is yet another beautiful addition to his oeuvre. »
