In a century, more than 100 million electric guitars have seen the light of day across the globe.

Some have become legends.
They have crossed seas and oceans, shined on the world’s greatest stages, and engraved their voices into the grooves of timeless albums.

Others have known more intimate, yet equally vital, destinies.
Companions to passionate musicians, to apprentices of all ages, guardians of adolescent dreams.
They resonate late into the night, in the warmth of a living room filled with friends, in the chaos of a rehearsal room, or in the privacy of a bedroom. In pursuit of the ultimate riff, the wondrous harmony.

And then, there are the others. A vast army.
Neglected.
Ignored.
Forgotten.
What stories, more or less extraordinary, lie beneath their cracked varnish? In which dreams were they accomplices?
Of which disillusions were they witnesses?
There are so many fallen treasures and broken dreams resting in the darkness of attics.
Dusty, out-of-tune instruments, entombed in cases devoured by time.

The HILL KING PROJECT is about breathing life back into these instruments condemned to oblivion.

Through assembly and carving, from grafts to mutations,
starting from pages already blackened by a more or less glorious past, to pick up the narrative where it left off.
So that finally, a musician and their Hill King may meet.
And that together, united, they may write the glorious next chapter of their legend.
